Job Description

Position Overview:

At Chabad on Campus International, we are dedicated to strengthening Chabad’s presence on college campuses worldwide, empowering Campus Directors to fulfill their mission of creating vibrant Jewish communities.

As the Vice President of Shlichus Advancement, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing guidance, resources, and mentorship to our dedicated Directors and fostering the growth and success of Chabad Houses on college campuses. This position reports to the COO and is in office/hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Organization Development:

  • Establish and maintain the Chazak system, ensuring continuous evaluations of all aspects of Chabad operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to strengthen the foundation of each Chabad house on campus.
  • Implement effective financial management practices across Chabad houses.

Funding and Growth:

  • Work closely with Campus Directors to develop comprehensive funding strategies.
  • Monitor and assess the financial health of each Chabad house.
  • Promote and support fundraising campaigns, including the ‘Grand Draw’ platform.
  • Facilitate the implementation of COCI grants.

Professional and Business Development:

  • Develop a curriculum for essential business and operations knowledge.
  • Provide personalized guidance and support to enhance professional skills.
  • Identify areas for growth and improvement in various aspects of Shlichus.
  • Offer resources, training opportunities, and mentorship.
  • Create a library of helpful SOP guidebooks and resources.
  • Facilitate personnel expansion and management training.
  • Oversee the development of the Antisemitism Campus Taskforce [ACT], including training and response strategy and campus administration & faculty engagement

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven track record of successful initiatives and passion for helping our organization take initiatives to the next level.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and managerial skills.
  • Results-oriented and exemplary leadership skills.
  • A highly driven leader with a vision-driven approach, adept at overseeing operations and turning ideas into tangible outcomes.
  • Previous experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or community development is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and independent with a “get it done” attitude.
  • Ability to take a vision and see it through with little to no direction.
