Job Description
Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks a Lower School (Grades 1-5) teacher to begin immediately though the remainder of the school year. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who have just arrived from Israel. Applicants should be fluent in both English and Hebrew.

The ideal candidate should have the following:
- Bachelor’s required, Master’s degree preferred in education, psychology, or related field
- At least four years experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting
- Experience working with 1st through 5th grade aged students
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on each student
- Ability to facilitate engaging recreational activities in addition to academic teaching

The teacher will:
- Provide instruction to students on varying grade levels in both General Studies and Judaic Studies content
- Partner with teachers and families regarding the needs and progress of students
- Collaborate with grade level classroom teachers to modify curriculum and develop strategies to meet the needs of a range of learners Qualified applicants should upload a cover letter
