Position Overview:
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager. This position will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer and work out of our NYC Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all repairs and maintenance throughout building.
- Oversees maintenance of HVAC systems and related infrastructure. Performs required tests and keeps required logs. Maintain maintenance logs and inspection logs for fire alarm, elevators, cooling tower and closed loops water treatment and other mechanical equipment in keeping with all federal, state and city regulations.
- Perform mandatory safety tests. Makes sure necessary safety inspections by outside contractors are completed as required; Maintains proper records.
- Diagnoses and performs major and routine maintenance repair within building including:
- Electrical and plumbing systems
- Elevator, BMS(Building management System), HVAC, Chiller Systems, Pumps, Fans Compressors
- Hands-on management experience in painting, remodeling, and building repairs.
- Respond to emergency requests for facility and equipment repairs.
- Supervise and reviews the work of subordinates engaged in property beautification and maintenance, including the removal of snow and garbage. Make sure property is kept safe for pedestrian traffic.
- Keep track and schedule all city agency required inspections in a timely manner.
- Inspects work of the Housekeeping staff to make sure they are carrying out their assignments.
- Negotiate and keep track of contracts and follow up on deadlines for repairs and inspections with outside vendors.
- Reviews and sign off all work tickets once outside vendors have completed their work.
- Track facility work projects both unfinished and completed.
- Supervise security staff
- Responsible for the attendance records of the JNF facilities staff
- Obtain list of daily events/meetings to prepare work assignments for facilities team.
- Handle mailing and packages and utilize shipping systems
- Assist and supervise maintenance clerk with special mailing projects, as necessary.
- Any other duties that your Supervisor may assign to you.
Qualifications:
- 6 years relevant experience as building or office manager/maintenance, or other relevant experience.
- Previous experience with maintaining appropriate inventories and staying within budgeted expenses
- Skilled in the following: Painting, remodeling and building repairs
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems (i.e. experience) including HVAC, heater/chiller units, BMS controls, sprinklers, standpipes, pumps, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, etc.
- Experience with elevator, A/C, Boiler Systems, Pumps, Fans Compressors
- Excellent communications Skills
- Previous experience building strong relationships with internal and external customers such as vendors
- Previous Managerial Experience is necessary

The salary range for this role is $70,000-90,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
